Can the ‘livingqtr’ variable in NHIS be further stratified by separating house from apartment?
Unfortunately LIVINGQTR cannot be further disaggregated by separating houses from apartments. The initial purpose of the question that provides information for the “Type of Living Quarters” variable was to ensure that sampling methods included people living in “special places” such as dormitories, institutions, convents, or mobile homes.
