Does a Consumer Price Index for where a respondent is located exist in the IPUMS data?

IPUMS-CPS offers the annual CPI-U average through the variable CPI99, which is used to make dollar values comparable across time. Unfortunately, we do not make available the variety of different CPI values for Census regions, population size classes, and select metropolitan areas that are published by the BLS. If CPI information by location is important to you, I recommend accessing the data through the BLS website.
