Enumeration districts or tracts in 1940 Census full count microdata

Are enumeration district or Census tract identifiers available in the 1940 Census full count microdata?

The enumeration district and census tract are both not available in the 1940 full count public use file. You could apply for use of the restricted use full count file for 1940, which includes much more geographic detail, by emailing ipumsres@umn.edu. Additionally, for what it is worth, the ENUMDIST variable is available in public use files representing some years other than 1940.
