Error 2016 ATUS SCC_*_LN Variables Not Recoded

4 Variable in the 2016 ATUS sample don’t appear to have been recoded for NIUs

All have some “-1” which I believe should actually be “9999” NIUs

You are correct, these values of -1 should be 9999 “NIU”. I’ve sent a note to the IPUMS Time Use Team about this issue. This fix should show up online with the next data release, which is slated to be within the next few months. In the meantime, you can simply recode these values to NIU.
