How come the 2013 CPS March Supplement file does not have the Health Insurance data that is on previous CPS files?
Looking at the three Health Insurance variable groups (Health Insurance, Health Insurance Unit, and Summary Health Insurance) it appears that all of the variables offered in March samples going back to 2001 are also available in 2013. The health insurance variables that are not available in 2013 have not been available for at least 10 years, and were eliminated due to changes in the CPS questionnaire. If there is a specific variable that you are referring to that is not a part of the three main health insurance variable groups, please let me know.
