At https://cps.ipums.org/cps-action/vari… is says the following regarding topcoding for INCLONGJ: “99997 = Topcode (1988-1995). For other years, see the Topcodes Tables link below.” However, using the link I can’t find information in the Topcodes Tables about INCLONGJ after 1995?
The CPS Topcodes Tables values associated with the Census Bureau income variable ERN-VAL are actually associated with INCLONGJ, though INCLONGJ had inadvertently been left off of the tables. This exclusion has been corrected on the topcodes tables and they now accurately represent the IPUMS-CPS variable INCLONGJ.
