I have job/income data i extracted but the data only goes up to 2015, and the bls goes to 2016 why is that?

I have job/income data i extracted but the data only goes up to 2015, and the bls goes to 2016 why is that?

Staff Answer

The BLS wage data are from the National Compensation Survey, Occupational Employment Statistics Survey, or the Current Population Survey. As such, you may also want to look into using IPUMS CPS.


We have not yet released the 2016 ACS 1-year data on IPUMS USA; it will likely be available around late November.
