Income data for 1920 & 1930?

Hello --

To the best of my understanding, there are no income data available via IPUMS for the 1920 and 1930 US Decennial Censuses, either full count or sample.

Are these data available in the manuscripts and not digitized? Or were they never collected?

Thank you!

It is true that there are no income variables available, via IPUMS, in 1920 and 1930. The 1920 and 1930 census questions show that income was not collected in these years. For what it is worth, 1940 was the first year that questions gathering information of income appeared on census forms. More information on the 1940 census is available here.
