Incorrect results when analyzing 1960 Census data 5% online

I am looking at homeownership by race for the city of Seattle. I used the online system to extract the data for 2011-2015 and I also performed the same search for older data. When I got to the 1960 Census, the numbers were much too high. So I did various searches in the 1960 data, and the numbers were way off each time. I’m wondering what I’m doing wrong.

You are not doing anything wrong. This is an error that the IPUMS USA team is currently working to correct. The weight variables in the 1960 5% variables were accidentally modified as a part of the most recent data release. The source of the error has been identified and a corrected data file is currently in the process of being released to the IPUMS USA extract system. The 1960 5% file with corrected weights should be available by the end of the day Monday (6/5/2017)

I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Thank you for your response!
