Is there more information on the jobs in the IND variable from the WORK section of the survey (beyond the codes)?

I doing research on wage that includes the "industry" (IND) variable from the "work" section of the survey. Most of the descriptions of industries that are included in the code book are fairly vague. Are there more detailed descriptions available of each industry included in the dataset?

In both IPUMS CPS and IPUMS USA the IND (industry) and OCC (occupation) variables provide the most detail about the work. Therefore what you see as the available categories in each of these variables is as detailed as is available.
