More recent climate data?

Is there more recent climate data than 2000? Specifically, I am looking for raster images that would have avg. highs/lows, avg temp for the last 4 years. (Preferably global - but the US would be a great start.) Will TerraPop have this - or is there another source?

IPUMS Terra has the Climatic Research Unit Time Series data, version 3.22, which includes monthly data through 2013. (When selecting raster data, under Climate, look under Climatic Research Unit Time Series.)

The Climatic Reference Unit has also released more recent data, through 2016. These data are not currently available through IPUMS Terra, but are available through the CRU site: https://crudata.uea.ac.uk/cru/data/hrg/
