Nov Food Supplement missing fsstmpmo variable data

The Dec Food Supplement missing data in the fsstmpmo variable (last month received food stamps). This is missing when I downloaded the years 2000 to 2014. Did I do something wrong?

The variable fsfdstmp (recieved food stamps in past 12 months) and the variables for the months in which food stamps (or SNAP) was received have data. I guess I can make this work on my own, but would rather have security of knowing I have what the CPS has.

Thank you.

It looks like the FSSTMPMO variable is not available in many of the samples you've selected. Note that this variable is only available in Food Security Supplements up until 2001. In years after 2001, this variable was replaced with a question indicating the benefit receipt in each month of the year: FSSTMPVAL (until 2014) or FSSTMPVALC.

I hope this helps.

Thanks! That makes sense. Dec 2001 was the year that supplement switched to Dec for every future year.
