Questionnaire instructions for Brazilian censuses of 1980, 1991, 2000 and 2010

Hello,

The “Questionnaire text” pages of the IPUMS variables provide both the original and the English-translated versions of the censuses’ questionnaire form.

For some variables, an English version of the questionnaire instructions (which I guess was given to respondents in order to help them filling the census questions ) is also provided.

Do you have the original questionnaire instructions or could you tell me where I can find it please? This would be very helpful.

Thank you very much.

Best,

Geoffrey

The IPUMS Brazil samples are drawn only from those respondents that completed the "Sample Questionnaire", or long form. IPUMS drew a systematic sample of approximately every second dwelling (varies by year) in the complete long form sample. See the Sample Characteristics page for further information.

Hope this helps.

I found those:

Another question however about the 1980, 1991, 2000 and 2010 Brazilian censuses.

Do the IPUMS full samples correspond exactly that of "The Sample Questionnaire" or "Questionário da Amostra" (as opposed to "The Basic Questionnaire" or "Questionário Básico", which, if I have understood properly, was submitted to all other Brazilian households not sampled in the first questionnaire).

Thanks!

Geoffrey
