What is the primary sampling unit for CPS Nov supplements? Secondary sampling/cluster variable?

Answers online are unclear or various in strategy. I will use the final weight at the individual level but want to be sure to include strata or sampling design with Stata svyset as necessary. Can you help?

In most CPS samples, the primary sampling unit (PSU) comprises of a metropolitan area or a country/group of small adjacent counties. These PSUs are independently drawn from each state. More information about PSUs in IPUMS CPS is available here. Note that WTFINL will take into account details about the CPS sample design. There is no ready-made 'strata' variable available in IPUMS CPS basic monthly samples. For ASEC samples within IPUMS CPS, replicate weights are available (REPWT) which allow for empirically derived standard errors. Additional information about replicate weights, including documentation about how these are calculated, is available here.
